The current data set is taken from numerous tables of the 2000 census. If you need to confirm any piece of data from our site, you can download raw info form http://factfinder.census.gov/ . The downside in using FactFinder exclusively is it is somewhat difficult and time consuming to work with data on that site.

How do I find information specific to my city/state?

Just type in your City or State within the "Optional Filtering Results Section".

Can I download my query into excel for further analysis?

Yes, after you complete your query, just click on the excel icon in the upper right above the table. You can also download into CSV format.
